Yash’s Character ‘Raya’ Revealed in Toxic Teaser Released on Actor’s Birthday

Kannada superstar Yash has set the internet ablaze with the release of the much-awaited teaser of his upcoming film Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, unveiled to mark the actor’s birthday. Along with the teaser, the makers officially revealed that Yash’s character in the film is named Raya, a role that promises intensity, chaos, and cinematic spectacle.

The official handle of KVN Productions shared the announcement with a powerful caption: “Get a good look at your danger – Introducing RAYA. Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups in cinemas worldwide on 19-03-2026.” The nearly three-minute-long teaser offers a dark, stylised glimpse into the world of Toxic.

A Dark and Violent Teaser Unfolds

The teaser opens in a cemetery, where a man—seemingly a feared criminal ganglord—has gathered with his men to bury his child. The somber atmosphere is shattered when a car arrives, disrupting the funeral. What follows is pure mayhem. Yash’s character blows apart the cemetery, steps out of the vehicle, and mercilessly opens fire on the remaining survivors, establishing Raya as a force of destruction.

Another teaser breakdown reveals a layered narrative. Before the explosion, an intimate scene inside the car builds a suffocating, “toxic” mood. Yash emerges through a fog-filled frame, smoking a cigarette. Shirtless and tattooed, he slips into an oversized black coat and delivers a chilling line: “Daddy’s home.” True to his on-screen persona, the teaser ends with Yash brandishing a gun and unleashing havoc.

Stellar Cast and Strong Creative Team

Directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic boasts a formidable ensemble cast. Kiara Advani plays Nadia, Huma Qureshi appears as Elizabeth, Nayanthara essays the role of Ganga, and Rukmini Vasanth is seen as Melissa. The film also stars Akshay Oberoi in a key role.

Produced by Venkat K Narayana and Yash under the banners of KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations, the film marks Yash’s first project since the massive success of KGF: Chapter 2 in 2022.

Release Date and Box Office Clash

Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups is slated for a worldwide theatrical release on 19 March 2026. The film is set to clash with Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar 2, setting the stage for a major box office showdown.

With its bold visuals, unapologetic violence, and Yash’s commanding screen presence as Raya, Toxic signals a high-octane return for the KGF star, raising expectations across industries.
